How to Become a Real Jedi (entired text of the tract)

The Force in Star Wars® is a make-believe supernatural power that created all things. It is said that the mysterious ways of this Force can be learned and its powers used. Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, learned the ways of the Force and used its power for good. Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, used this power for evil.

The Bible tells of a True Force
The Bible tells us there is a True Force, who is God. He is the Creator of all things (John 1:3), the one God who is revealed to man in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14). This booklet will show you the way to become a real Jedi—JEsus DIsciple.

His nature
“God is love” (1 John 4:8). “God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1 :5). “God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29) whose purity and righteousness demands the destruction of sin and sinners. “God is spirit” (John 4:24). God will always exist (Psalm 139:712). God is all-powerful (Jeremiah 32: 17, 27). God is all-knowing (1 John 3:20). God is all wise (Acts 15:18). God knows the future (1 John 3:20).

His morality
God is good (Psalm 136:1), and hates sin and sinners (Psalm 5:5, 6). God is holy (Revelation 4:8), impartial (1 Peter 1:17), just (Psalm 89:14), patient (Exodus 34:6,7), loving (1 John 4:8,16), merciful (Lamentations 3:22,23), truthful (Psalm 117:2), vengeful and wrathful toward His enemies (Deuteronomy 32:34-41). God’s ways are good (Psalm 136:1), perfect (Psalm 18:30), learnable (Psalm 86:11), righteous (Psalm 145:17), unlike man’s ways (Isaiah 55:8,9), everlasting (Habakkuk 3:6), inscrutable (Romans 11:33), righteous and true (Revelation 15:3).

Walk in God’s ways
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15). “His commandments are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3).

The True Force loves us and wants the best for us

God loves us
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16)

God wants the best for us
“I came,” says Jesus Christ, “that they might have life, and might have it abundantly full of meaning and purpose” (John 10:10).

The Bible also tells of an evil or paraforce

He wants to become God
This paraforce, called Satan, the devil, and the Fallen Star, wants to make himself like God (Isaiah 14: 12-14) and is waging war against God (the True Force), His Son Jesus Christ (the Bright Morning Star), and all believers (real Jedi, JEsus DIsciples).

Satan is our enemy
The ways of Satan are harmful to us and never good. He hates us and wants to keep us away from God, truth and goodness (Revelation 12:7-12).

“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

Satan’s ways lead to hell
Satan’s evil and deceptive ways lead to unhappiness in this world and eternal suffering in hell (2 Thessalonians 2:12).

We were born under the evil power of Satan, who, for a short time,
is the ruler of the world order (John 12:31)

We were born with:
Bodies that will die (Hebrews 9:27); spirits that are dead [separated from God] (John 3:1-7); souls that cause us to have evil thoughts and to do wrong (Romans 7:14-25).

God has provided a way to make our mortal bodies immortal, our dead spirits alive, and our sinful souls righteous.

Jesus is the only way to God
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me’ “ (John 14:6).

Jesus died in our place
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Jesus rose from the dead
“Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred...” (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

Jesus is the source of eternal life
Through Jesus Christ, we can be reborn spiritually (John 3:1-21) with His eternal life (1 John 5:11-13), and, when He returns, we will receive supernatural bodies (like His) that will never die, never be injured and never become ill (1 Corinthians 15:54, Revelation 21:3,4).
To become real Jedi, we must believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as our Personal Savior, Lord, and Life

Believe in Christ
The Bible tells us how to become a real Jedi—a JEsusDIsciple: “Everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die [spiritually, and therefore never separated from God]” (John 11:26).

Receive Christ as Savior, Lord, and Life
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believed in His
name” (John 1:12).

Receive Christ by faith
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9).

Jesus Christ will come into your heart
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock;” says Jesus, “if any one hears My voice and opens the door. I will come in to him”
Revelation 3:20).

The way to receive Jesus Christ
A person is not a Christian merely by being religious, moral, doing good things, or intellectually acknowledging that God exists. A Christian is one who, by faith, receives Christ as Savior, Lord, and Life, and walks in the ways of God.

Tell Christ, by talking to Him through prayer, that you receive Him as your Savior, Lord, and Life. Invite Him into your heart in your own words or through the suggested prayer that follows.

Pray to receive Christ
Do you truly want to become a Christian? To have your sins forgiven? To receive the free gift of eternal life? To walk in the ways of the Lord? If you sincerely desire these things, then pray in faith to God, now, using your own words or the
uggested prayer below:

Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and giving Your life on the cross in my place. I now receive You as my Savior, Lord, and Life. Thank You for forgiving my sins, for sharing with me Your eternal life, and for making me a new creature—a holy and righteous saint.

Christ in you
If you prayed by faith, to receive Christ, you can know by His promise in Revelation 3:20 that He is now your Savior, Lord, and your very life.

You in Christ
Likewise, you can know that, at the moment you first believed, Christ took you out of Adam’s family and placed you into His family (1 Corinthians 15).

You have been saved from sin, the curse of the Law, and death
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death” (Romans 8:2; see also Revelation 1:6).

You now share Christ’s eternal life
There is only one eternal life—Christ’s life! “And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have
written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:11-13).

You are a member of “The Way”—the spiritual body of Christ, the true Church (Acts 9:2; Romans 2:6)
Remember that Christ lives in you, that your sins are forgiven, and that you have eternal life based on the promise of God’s Word, the Bible, not your feelings or circumstances.

Learn to walk in the ways of the Lord
God’s ways can be learned and applied so that we might live holy lives as real Jedi saints, and thus glorify Christ through our lives.

Study the Bible
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Walk in the Spirit
“When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth...and He will disclose to you what is to come” (John 16:13). “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16).

Follow godly counsel
“Listen to counsel and accept discipline, that you may be wise the rest of your days” (Proverbs 19:20).
 
The Return of the True Force

Jesus Christ is coming back to planet earth:
“This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go to heaven” (Acts 1:11).

The whole world will see Him
“And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” (Luke 21:27).

He will come for His Jedi
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 5:16,17).

Jesus will destroy Satan’s works
“The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8) and thus end the spiritual Star Wars.

Jesus will give new bodies to all His Jedi
He will give new “glorified” bodies such as His own to those believers who are alive when He returns, and to the dead in Christ who have been with Him in spirit (1 Corinthians 15).

Jesus will rule the world in love and peace
“And the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
