The Number One Hindrance
to Prayer and Knowing God's Will

Most of us can remember times when we were in a quandary over knowing God’s will.

Perhaps you are in such a quandary right now.

Why doesn’t God answer your prayers and reveal His will to you? You pray harder and longer for Him to answer.

But there is only silence.

Doesn’t God hear you? You’re even more frustrated. Doesn’t He understand that you simply want to know His will in order to do it? Why is He holding back? Doesn't He care?

Could it be that God has revealed His will to you, but you just don’t see it? Don’t hear His voice?

Could it be that God has revealed His will to you, but you keep looking for more lucrative options?

Could it be that God is “holding back” because you are not ready to know His will?

...Because He knows the path you are on and that you would attempt to do His will out of the flesh rather than out of the spirit?

...Because your fellowship with Him is not all that it should be?

So maybe God isn't the bottleneck—maybe it's you.

Do you have a heart problem?
Prayer and knowing and doing God’s will go hand-in-hand. And they are most often hindered by a heart that is not right with God.

Maybe it’s time for you to examine your heart.

And we can help you.

A Self-Examination of Your Spiritual Heart
You can conduct a
“Self-Examination of Your Spiritual Heart” on our web site. It’s free—and you don’t even have to register. Just click below and read.

This self-examination of the spiritual heart addresses spiritual matters that can lead to a change of heart, in the biblical sense, in those whose ability to undergo such change is not compromised by medical, biological, or psychological issues, which incidently, by law, require treatment or care only by qualified and licensed physicians or psychologists.

Scripture tells us that “God examines the heart.” What does He find when He examines your heart?

And Paul instructs us to "examine yourselves!" (2 Corinthians 13:5). To learn if your heart is right with God. To understand why you are in a quandary over "unanswered prayer" and difficulties in ascertaining the will of God.
