Frank Allnutt launched this web site in the early 1990s as an online seller of his books, among them the bestsellers The Force of Star Wars, After The Omen, and The Peacemaker. At that time, Frank was on the staff of a Christian counselor and counselor-training organization, where he wore several hats—director of publishing, video and web sites, and director of public relations and marketing. It was then that he began researching and writing about The Christian's New Heart.
Over time, the nature and focus of Frank's web site transitioned from that of an online bookseller to that of New Heart Ministries.
After retiring in 2003, Frank and his brother Dan left Denver for the ranching culture of the Arkansas Valley in the heart of Colorado's Rocky Mountains. They call their home the Double Cross Ranch. Physically, it's located in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. But it's more than a place of a few hundred acres, cattle, hay fields, and an old though fixed up ranch house. It's a place of history, where families of by-gone days lived--and some died. It's a place in the heart. It's about Christian living in what remains of ranching culture. It's also about the Allnutt brothers' family--they live in eye-sight of Frank's daughter and her family. And it's about art, photography, and writing.
Frank and Dan's art has recently taken on new looks. Dan's art, in addition to his traditional Western Woodburnings on beetle-killed pine, now includes, woodburnings on broken, time-worn pieces of lumber from the old homestead. Some incorporate old cowboy artifacts such as spent bullet casings. Frank's original paintings and giclees of photos on artist's canvas are framed with native woods and mounted on native sandstone. And now he's using the camera to capture remnants of the romantic old west around the ranch.
Frank's main focus, however, remains writing. While on this web site, be sure to visit his writings and illustrations about the Christian's new heart--and read some of his "Frankly Speaking" articles.
